Good morning!

I am inundated with cookies. (My friends know me only too well) Brought some to share. Gal pal is attempting to make macarons and she's almost there, but gifts me with her seconds and irregulars. NIRVANA!
Do you share?šŸ˜‰

Well, my take is.....family coming to see ME not my house. I clean MOST of the filth, dirt and crud, but I don't stress and if it doesn't get cleaned/done---oh well. Of family doesn’t like it-they can clean it.
Life's too short. Enjoy the day.
I know, I tell myself that all the time, but I was raised in a family with OCD antiseptic, perfectly straight and clean houses. My mother was different. The house was messy, but she played with us, took us on exploring adventures and led our girl scout troop. I am ever so grateful for that, but that stigma of a messy house for company lingers. I know they don't care, but I do.

I didn’t grow up in a very fussy house, actually we had so few belongings there wasn’t much of anything to make a mess with! Having said that, I have been not exactly resentful but if the house is messy it’s the woman’s fault, no matter who made the mess.
My first Thanksgiving after getting married my mil and all the women worked all day doing the food and cleaning up after it. We all had full time jobs but the men sat around and watched football. Of course we had to shop for the food after work...I was actually shocked because the women had to carve the Turkey too! Lol With dull knives! My first real adulting holiday. I realized that first year what my own mother was worth! My Dad had been a professional meat cutter though so we always had sharp knives and he always carved the meat. And he was way too ADD to sit in a chair and watch anything.

My in laws were the ones with the antiseptic perfectly straight houses. I imagine they all had stuff to say when DH married an outdoor cat instead of an orderly indoor cat!

No more order in this house. Yes, penny, I caved in. We have been joined by Maggie Mae an eight week old golden doodle puppy. She is bold, brazen, and beautiful, and she already owns this house.
We knew it would happen.
Puppy PICS!!

Thought of y'all when I received a gift of a 4 variety English Muffin Buffet....
.....plain, sourdough, blueberry, cinnamon raisin.

Well, guess I was trying to say
Don't stress.

Mornin!
Coffee, tea and applesauce muffins.
Warm balmy 61 on porch.
Gotta do some cleaning on spare bedroom today. One of my granddaughters is gonna come stay a few days.due to covid her mama has been homeschooling her since August when school started. Mama needs a break. Being with your children 24/7 is stressful (after 6-8 months).
Life is good

Thanks for the coffee - I need it. Penny, it's my turn. Maggie Mae complained off and on during the night from her crate, and at 6 I gave in and got up. Took her outside, and she peed immediately. Fed her waited 15 minutes, took her outside and she pooped. Did not pee in her crate last night. Wait a minute. Isn't this the Princess's dog ? Why is she still sleeping? Gotta say it is fun having a pup in the house again.
