Morning ya'll. coffee on and second cup sitting here.
Got out this morning and cleaned and re sanded the chicken run. Also, have a bunch of magnolia leaves in the rock garden and of course, the leaf blower doesn't work, so, hand picked leaves out of about half the rock garden and need to put more rocks in there. There are a bunch of river rocks I dumped in the back of the shed in a pile years ago- yes, the chickens have scattered them all over the yard back there. I just gather a pail of rocks every time I am out there and put them in the rock garden. Eventually, I will get them all. Reckon I need to put a tarp or something over the rock garden for winter (it is only about 3 ft wide and 10 ft long) to keep the leaves out. What do ya'll do?

I have some rock walls and steps but I don’t do masses of rocks for that reason. Too much maintenance. Tarping sounds reasonable to me unless you have help keeping it blown out every week.

Third cupping. Yeah, that kind of day. Even though it's cooler, I'm low energy right now. Maybe my biorhythm is in its low phase. :gig

Or, maybe it's having a new puppy (much joy, but they are a lot of work too) and worrying about the final integration phase with the chickens tonight. I'm letting Lark "the chick pecker" out at dusk to go into the coop. Then I'll be out at daybreak to see how it goes tomorrow morning. :fl:fl:fl

Yep- bought a leaf blower last year and used it once- now the battery doesn’t charge, so I have to get another. At the price of that, I am considering other options
