Those cookies sound awesome! Do we have those recipes in the baking thread?
I looked and didn't see them. I found the recipe years ago I know not where and found it on line recently having lost my original recipe in moves. The recipe I had called for melted margarine or butter instead of oil. I used canola oil as instructed in the recently found recipe and they turned out just as good. I modified the recipe accordingly.

I'll save it to file and post it but for those who would like to give it a try, here it is:

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies.
Ingredients:
1)1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder ( I use dark chocolate cocoa from Hershey's)
2)1 cup granulated sugar
3)1/4th cup vegetable oil or melted butter/margarine
4)1 tsp vanilla extract
5)2 large eggs
6)1 cup all purpose flour
7)1/2 tsp baking powder
8)1/4th tsp salt

9)1/2 cup powdered sugar. Set aside until later

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°

Combine first 8 ingredients and blend until mixed and forms a soft ball. Chill, then scoop by teaspoons full and roll into ball then roll dough ball in the powdered sugar and place on parchment lined cookie sheet.

Place into oven and bake for 12-13 minutes.

Cool and enjoy.

This is a small batch recipe which is what I wanted. Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies depending on size and are super delicious. Almost like eating a brownie cookie.

My pleasure @Sequel. I have to admit I had to get mine into the freezer ASAP as I ate one, than another....Got on the scale this morning and had lost almost half a pound that I wasn't really trying to lose. Trying to maintain but running off the calories baking so I thought, Hay! Diet doesn't exist today! I need the calories!

At least that is my story and I'm sticking to it!
