Coffee Drinkers.........spill The Beans.

I can drink a whole pot of Good old Folgers for the price of 1 cup of Starbucks. And I agree with every one about Starbucks coffee not tasting good,

. We even went out and bought a Frappuccino Machine because our Starbucks sold us bad Mocha Fraps 1 time.

We drink Medaglia d'oro coffee from Javacabana.com. Used to get it at the grocery store, but its far cheaper on line, PLUS free shipping.
Good, stout, dark roast, and we make it strong ...
Who cares if we can't sleep?

Not real picky when it comes to coffee, at least at home. Every once in a while, the DW will bring some flavored beans home. I forget who sold it, but it was "Scandanavian Morning Blend" that I've liked the best. Dark and bold coffees are what I like. First cup in the morning may have a splash of cream/milk, but that's it.

At the moment I am drinking India Monsoon Malabar, the runner up is Costa Rica Tarrazo. The oldest rat works part time in a coffee house, soooooooo..............................

Folgers Instant. I always need it NOW and I like the ability to titrate the caffeine dose precisely to the degree of `mushbrain' I'm trying to surface from.

I used to drink 3-4 pots of coffee a day. I'm down to two cups. I also was quite the coffee snob, but now I mostly drink Folgers Columbian. I hate Starbucks also, I think it tastes like burnt tires. When I buy beans I usually buy Sumatran or Java. I like a medium roast, and full flavor.

I prefer Equal Exchange coffee, when I can afford it. We usually by 5 lbs bulk of whole bean (~$54/ 5 lbs), but they sell 10-12 oz bags for ~$9.75. They are organic and fair trade...AND DELICIOUS!!! My favorites are the Mind, Body and Soul and Breakfast Blend. But, when I can't afford it, we try to get a decent quality full-bodied coffee from the grocery store. Kona is delicious and french roast is usually a safe bet from most brands. I will NOT drink Folger's if I have a choice. It tastes nasty to me...like it is burnt. I like my coffee STRONG, but not burnt.

I take it strong and black with a little sugar.

Here's the link for those interested!!
