I'm officially a chicken mommy!

My friend called me last nite and told me that one of my Ameraucana babies hatched ..

Then shortly after, one of her Bantam Cochins hatched. I was sooooooo glad her cochins are hatching. I had them shipped here for her and I was going to be MORTIFIED if HER eggs didn't hatch and mine did (picked mine up locally)

I haven't received a "chick report" from her yet this morning, however she said there was some more activity last nite before we hung up.

She's a late sleeper ..

We could have:

Wheaten/Blue Wheaten/ Splash Wheaten Ameraucanas
Black Mottled Cochin Bantams
Salmon Faverolles
Sicilian Buttercups

It should be a fun hatch.

Good morning everyone,
It is a beautiful summerlike day here. Too bad I wont get too much of a chance to enjoy it. I was up half the night with a fast acting stomach bug. I am feeling better this morning, just very tired. I am also praying no one else in the family gets it, especially the baby.

Hope everyone else is having a better day than me.

texasgal -- congratulations on a successful hatch for your friend. It's always amazing that the miracle of life spurs such excitement in us again & again.
Mamagardener - it is going around. I hope you feel better and keep it away from Iowa. It's just a matter of time, I suppose.

morning all.. what a crazy week!! we are painting EVERY wall in my house lol it all started on tuesday i got tired of the brown walls.. so now all the walls will be white! its brightening up my house soo much!! i think ill have the kitchen and livingroom done tonite! ceilings included

A Good Morning to all. Yes it is a great nice temp. morning out here in the Desert. Whew! what a relief. I'll take it!

Congrats on all the hatching going on. Becoming a chicken momma is a wonderful thing. I still get excited for everyones 1st egg and babies hatching. I just finished the pot off strolling around the yard. I need to get busy do the work out the PT gave me and then clean out the frig., take inventory of the freezer. Sheets need to be washed. I can do both of those jobs at the same time.

Everyone have a great day. Whistle, Sing and listen to some good tunes. Most of all,

thank God for giving us another day.

I love to have new paint. It does clean up and brighten up the area. Don't work to hard but, GET-UR-DONE.

Good morning all. Just checking in. My daughter is home "sick" today. She has a skin infection that she has been taking antibiotics for and now there is a secondary infection that is probably viral on top of it. (per phone call with the drs. office) I'm wondering if the secondary rash isn't from switching to a generic laundry soap. It looks like prickly heat and itches like crazy.

Of course then she had the benedryl at school and left it there.

At least it is nice out and we had a soft rain this morning. The ground here is gettting dry.

Birds are chirping LOUDLY today. Guess they know it's going to be a beautiful day and would like to see us up. ...lol

It's FRIDAY! Which means I get hubby home for the weekend ... YES! Then we have a road trip next week so I will get him for two weeks .... SMILING!

He does have an office job and comes home nightly, But I love being with him when ever we can!

Yea! I'm up, just poured a second cup. Sip, Sip. And a Good Morning to all.

Just a little early for the wild birds to be singing their morning song. My Roosters have been singing sense 3:30, when the dogs went out. When I turn the outside light on, that is when it starts. I think the boys are telling me to get moving. It is good to have a motaviater when you live alone.

When you think about all the germs you come in contact with at school. It is no wonder you get sick. I am very lucky I live in the Boonies and normaly only go to town 2x a month. I like to shop at the stores that have the hand whipes. I wipe down all places I will touch, then whipe my hands down. I have gotten the flu shot already.

HollyO, It is so good to get that time together. You two enjoy every moment.

Does everybody have a special Coffee Cup that you always use? I knocked a small chip out of the edge of my favorite cup. I can seal it, I think with clear finger nail polish. BUT what makes me angery is changing cups. Does that sound stupid? It is a good thing that I have some other favorites. I have a question about this cup thing. Do you wash your coffee cup every day, or just rinse it out?
