Coffee's ready...

ugh...i did it again...poured a BIG cup of coffee...rushed out the door to scrape ice off the windows...ran back in to grab lunch and coffee...got half way to work...realized i just had the lunch. why is it that i forget to drink coffee. it turns my brain on, so iremember my coffee...ugh.

Shhhhh! Don't tell! I'm drinking coffee again this morning.

Yesterday was a long day with DH - two docs and six hours later, one of the ultimatums was NO MORE CAFFEINE. Since I'm not really supposed to either, I said I'd quit with him. I waited until he was well gone to work, and nuked a cup for my pounding head. Poor DH!
The sun is shining the cat purring on my lap and laptop. The house is quiet for now. No construction pounding. sweet quiet.

A little foggy sunrise this morning. Beautiful! Especially after 3 days of rainy, misty, overcast. It may get up to 60 degrees. We need to dry out alittle.
My husband and daughter have been in NJ taking care of my wonderful MIL who has terminal cancer. Hubby sent me a care package of a few things that we can't get here in MO -- including a bag of WaWa coffee. I made some this morning. Tastes fantastic!!
I am probably going to town later and buy some pine shavings to add to the coops.

home from the Ozarks. Successful hunt youngun got introduced to deer hunting and mancation. My W.W. wrangled chickens in my abscence and took good care of the luvestock. Guess I owe her more than a hug.

ahhh...awake...coffee remembered and drank...
no frost this morning which was nice since i could stay in bed a few more minutes and not worry about a frozen waterer or winshield...

Good mornin' (errrr afternoon) coffee lovers! It is an absolutely beautiful day here today. I've been outside getting some work done! The chickens are all lined up against my house in the flower beds .... sunbathing, and taking their dirt baths! Ohhh, so sweet. Let me tell ya though, next year there will be none of that in my flowers!

Oh, do I identify! I planted 300 crocus in front of my house, and my hens love to bathe in the fresh dirt. I can't count how many bulbs they have dug up that I've had to replant. My careful color scheme has been totally altered - I am wondering what in will actually look like next spring.
