oesdog ,it cold here too but thank God not snowing. DD and hers are going to his parents for the week end and that's just fine. I can use the peace and quiet. I do miss the Grans in Alabama and my DD and hers in TX. Such is life.

Hi folks:

Rancher - We had a tradition of going to after-christmas sales for the adults. And gifted on Twelfth Night. ;-)

I'm waiting on tenterhooks here - Stella is in the nesting box for the first time. I'm hoping for my first 3 egg morning! (I've already got one each from Willow and Buffy.)

Dh and I have gotten the Ham cooked and the Beef joint cooked. The Turkey is having a bath in Red wine and all sorts of Fruit and stuff.
The Christmas cake is made and the fancy biscuits are also made and we are decorating them this afternoon.
Now all I have to do is the Duck and the Pheasant!!!! Oh and the Hake and the salmon and prawns!!!!!!! All go here. Our boy is comming tonight and will stay a while but his girlfriend went back to France she managed a flight but got stuck at the airport the other side. Her brother is driving to get her so at least I know she is safe. My neice was supposed to go to her mothers in Scotland but she is not now going as the weather is still bad and the roads are frozen.

We are set for a good week at least of family and fun and eating LOADS of nice things.

Better away as I need to decorate the christmas tree biscuites and the Gingerbread men

[Scoop]

C-c-cold again this morning but the house it toasty warm. Getting some of the Christmas Eve dinner together soon. A modest meal this year. Oesdog, my mom used to make duck for Christmas and it is so good. When I mention that to people or if I tell them I'm having duck their eyes just glaze over! Probably have it for New Year's Day this year. Oh, pheasant is wonderful, too. Sounds like a feast at your house! Enjoy!

First pot of coffee for the day is ready, let the chickens out, fired up the woodstove for the morning burn. Snow fell in the wee hours and I'll be pulling out the Turkey to defrost for tomorrows feast. (and oh....yeah, check email and BYC)

Morning folks it's cold here too, but the nipple waters in the coop weren't frozen so that's a surprise. Just me and DW today as DD and hers and Darcy have gone to the others house for a couple of days. Peace for awhile.

She is growing like a weed.

Oesdog_ Yes! We got three eggs yesterday! One from each of the Big Girls. I made a three-egg omelet for lunch.

Today, I only got two eggs - I don't think Stella was up for it again so soon...

Rancher - that baby is absolutely adorable. Just the kind you want to hug and kiss. Thanks for the pics!
