Sissy the answer is to tell them it is roast chicken or omlets for supper, Their Choice.
Ducky, the secret is not finding but unwrapping and re-wrapping without being caught.

HAHA not happening

Good morning! I'm still here, folks, just been crazy busy before school finally let out. Enjoying a cup of "Pete's" coffee, as it was on sale and I thought I'd try it. It really is good.
Sunday we went to a petting zoo/ farm place, spent the night in a hotel, then to Legoland yesterday. It was a Christmas trip with the MIL, SIL, her two rats, and my son. We had a great time, but boy am I WIPED OUT. I'm not even out of my PJ's yet, my legs are sore, and I feel like I'm fighting a cold. So today my son and I are taking it easy, just recovering. I may bake some of my favorite Chirstmas cookies, though. Then eat a few and watch one of the Christmas movies I recorded.
Sissy, I started feeding my girls red pepper. I've been doing it for over a week and I'm still only getting one egg a day from my faithful little leghorn, Sunshine. And my sweet Rouen duck doesn't miss a day, either. I'm trying to plan a swap soon, and I swear I'll sell the lot of them if they don't start producing!!
I'm all ready for Chrismas, with just a bit of wrapping to do. Really looking forward to the next two weeks off work. Have a great day, chicken peeps!

Good morning chicken wranglers
Funny you should mention red pepper,I used to live in Hi.The pepper bushes plants became bushes over there because of the climate always being warm. There are certain indigineous species of birds there. One of witch was a gray bodied red headed cardinal.Well the pepper bushes next to my apartment were 3 feet tall and the peppers unbearably hot, those cardinals landed in them all day and ate those peppers, it was like a schmorgass board for them.
I swear you could hear them scream as they passed them!
merry Christmas God Bless!

they did very well on it

I guess its back to the pepper pot,
I hope all you flock tenders doing well
