Good morning chicken wranglers
The spring has been busy . Lots of rain and mud . Finally got the pastures closed in and the cattle spread out. My Rocks are not big enough to butcher yet but soon.
My Grandfathers legacy to me is what he taught my father "If You Want it Work for it!
God Bless!

@Karl,
At the moment, we are getting your rain here. Want it back? You sound like you have your projects laid out pretty good for you. They should keep you out of trouble for the time being.

My next project is to get a shed built.

Enjoy the day

I looked at that, but I found an Amish company in Illinois that builds beautiful sheds, and sells them for less than I'd pay to buy the lumber, screws, hardware, shingles, etc...

Around here per built Amish sheds are pretty expensive and most are built with 1.25 x 3's. The floor is going to be white oak (I was going to use locust, but I don't want to drill each nail hole) with .25" gaps between boards. 2 Large windows on the south side with a collapsible table under them. Tin roof, so we'll be able to collect rain water. The "better half" also would like live edge or at least rough cur lumber for the exterior walls. The door is going to be on the end and just big enough to get the snow blower in.

More rain today. We have 77 chicks under lamps (75 chickens and 2 turkeys).

Enjoy the day

Putting my BYC post number 2000 right here in coffee land.

I set it up on cinder blocks to keep it away from the ground.

Note the doubled 2x4's every 36" and the two lofts.

@Gargoyle - That's a nice looking shed there. What is the size of it? Yea our's is going to be up on blocks also. It's going to be about a 8' x 10' shed. The better half is already finding stuff to hang on it. I have a old Coke sign about 4' x 8' that she wants to hang on one of the (exterior) walls.

Congrats on you 2000 (2002) message.

Looks like sun here this morning, frost in the forecast for tonight.
