Sourland all is good. I got some rain on the garden last night and the matoes and the tatos and the peppers should be a bloomin today! Chickens are doing great so all is good .

Sourland the rabbits are plentiful around my place also .I wonder if this is a population explosion? I have seen so many this year as compared to last year and my boys have caught several juveniles this year so I'm thinking this is one of those balance the books years.
Anyway are those field trials for beagle's by chance?

Morning, Karl. Yes, it appears to be a good year for rabbit production. Yes, those would be beagle field trials - been involved for over 55 years.

Good morning People,
I hope this finds everyone doing well and enjoying this cool weather. I have been a bit under the weather with temps of 103 for close to a week, but on the mend.... Anyways to catch up.

Good to see every ones chickens are doing good and starting to produce. Our meaties will be ready in a few weeks. Turkeys are coming today?

Sourland, my ex brother in law does the rabbits/beagles also. He's big time into it. Ever spring he gives us ducks from one of the clubs. He use to do racoons, he says, he rather sleep now.

We did some camp ground camping at the end of May, and after over 40 years of camping look what we had:


Sort of felt bad using it. It was brand spanking new.

Isn't that pretty. Did they have it orientated properly or did the smoke billow in your face all night. Have only been out once this year looking for more closer to home with swimming.

My meaties are ready now and the turkeys are coming the week of the 7th . So we are on a roll ? kind of ?
I am anxious for the girls to styart laying soon. Barnyard eggs should be on the menu every day. I really miss the milk from the cow on a daily basis ,but it is what IT IS.
my cows should be calving in the next month so I'm ready for that . Hope you recover from the lumpuckaroo or what ever you have been down with Q.
I'm thinking we will be eating lots of bunny this year. We do not have beagles but the rabbits are all over and my boy is ever so ready to shot gun hunt this year, squirrels first and then the rabbits.
Turkeys abound but we will just raise those.
Tomorrow we clean the basement garage, I got the first floor garage last weekend so basement this weekend .Whom ever said it was a sage," Nothing on earth has a shorter life span that that of a clean garage!. No truer words were ever spoken.

Good morning, Karl - just got back from training dogs and am on coffee break - never got to take one of them when I was 'really' working. Out to finish off one of the flower beds, and then back to dog training. Enjoy your day.
