Foggy morning here. Can't see the sheep in the back, but you can hear them, chump chump chump...... Collard greens are up, string beans are about 2' tall now, still eating kale (one planting), swiss chard and carrots. Meaties are doing good, no loses yet.

Meeting my oldest sister for breakfast this morning. Quiet day here. Chicken soup with dumplings for supper tonight.

Enjoy your day

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Picked the last quash of the season yesterday , as soon as I dig the sweet potato's ,that half of the garden goes under for fall tilling,
We picked 20 gallons of tomato's , gallon of okra, 4 heads of cabbage. By next week all of it should be done . Wife is staying home all week to can and jelly all of the goods, doubt she gets half of it done, I want plum jelly, apple jelly, and apple butter, not to mention mixed fruit jelly and canned pares. Wanting is not getting.
God bless!

Fried in bacon fat, yum ,yum ,yum. crunch the bacon up and sprinkle it in , supper for sure!
Sorry about your mater's . Not meaning to bragg just talking about it.

Good morning chicken wranglers,
I got5 eggs yesterday, that is good for my girls. One was a first egg as it was very small. 3 are medium and one large egg. Looks good ! The first of their eggs that I ate was a double yolker, really tasty.
Fill me in on the news!
God Bless!

Morning all. Much to do today. Grass needs mowing and it may rain tomorrow.

Fair was nice, good time. Bought some soap as is my usual thing, from the lady who does the demo each year. I could order through the mail but I save shipping and tax if I buy it there. She makes a Patchouli soap that has a manly scent I like.

We have folks so sell at the Regional Farmers market but they don't put enough scent in it and it's more expensive.

Have a nice day and be good,

Rancher
