Good morning people,
Looks like everyone is doing good. We just got back from playing in the woods. Did a nice kayak/camping trip mixed with a little casting exercises and swinging (rolled out of the kayak twice). One of the mountains we did, was above the tree line. Even with low cloud cover, it was different being above the clouds and just seeing a few tops of other mountains and the blanket of clouds beneath you. The ending of a vacation is at hand. We got bit by the 46 challenge and plan on starting it next year, if we survive till then.
Off to playing catch up around here.

Q sounds like you had a very good time. We hope to go to see the sequoia's in California after the blazes die down.
I have been to kings canyon once in my life and would like to take my children to see it .
Gargoyle did it pay out or did it bounce?

The week end is planned for work, must do work to pay for chickens and feed.....! Got 17 eggs yesterday girls are doing well, I dread the short days and the intermittent laying and the frozen eggs. Ahh for the on set of spring, only a couple days until the equinox . Then the short days are upon us.

DW was feeling okay today but did too much.

I too am dreading the cold. Girls aren't laying enough but never are to suit me. I can always give eggs away, but can't sell what doesn't get laid.

Too many not old enough to lay and some broody hens have not let up yet. I may have to move the young ones to somewhere else.

I really need some new tools. A chain saw, cordless weed whacker, circular saw and drill.

Tired old fella here - even the coffee is not working. Left at 5 AM yesterday to attend a field trial - stayed overnight and competed today also. The dogs did well - 4 entries in three classes and Rattler got a lst, Speakeasy got a 2nd and a 4th, and Baby Jayne got a 4th. Had opportunities to win all 3 classes, but it just did not happen. Tomorrow down to Annapolis to see a GD play soccer.

Well now we could use some pictures of these winners. Congrats on all the wins of course. It's always nice when friends do well.

rancher, trust me that I am absolutely inept when it comes to technology.

In the interview that Sumi did with me there is a picture of Rattler - as a matter of fact it was taken just after we arrived home from a field trial where he had gotten a 3rd. We had to e mail the pictures to Sumi and she posted them for me.

One day I will take pictures of the others and have one of the grandkids help me post them.

congratulations on the winners sourland. This is a pic of the biggest egg I've gotten so far from this batch of layers, the double yolk is the egg being prepped for consumption.
In bacon grease no less yummmmmmm.

Morning karl - getting a late start on the day here. Spent yesterday in Annapolis with son and his family. I don't handle the miles like I once used to.

Late start also. but coffee is good. Great looking egg there I am going to duplicate that second pic myself in a little bit. That bacon looks especially good also.
