Coffee's ready...

Rancher, I actually saw a kid do that once. Stuck his tongue on a metal flagpole.

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Does anyone remember ice cube trays made of steel? or aluminum? When we where children my brothers and I would get them out of the freezer and your finger tips always froze to the metal. And Ohh yeh we always dared one another to put our tongues on the tray. I got to where I knew that if you pushed your tongue on it harder it would melt the freeze so I was champ. Oh yeh nostalgia taken me back to the good old days before automatic ice makers and when kool aid was a staple for the summer time.
God Bless!

Good morning chicken wranglers,
At least one guy knows of what I am speaking.
We are looking forward to a big the over the week end , a whopping 40 degrees right here in the heart of Illinois.
maybe the mud will not be so bad , At least when the ground is frozen it is hard. Snow and mud. rain and mud and then it is August and it is wind and dust. But it is followed with the beauty of fall.
God Bless!

I knew what you were speaking of. You can still find them at the antique shows.

AND you can buy them new. 4/$36 on some sites.

We had a white out for a bit today, but we've not got much snow. Which is good since I don't shovel. Well not much.

Anyone hatching chicks yet? I can't decide whether to set eggs or not. We're kinda in limbo here. DW is to start radiation soon. She did quite well with the Chemo. None of the throwing up or that kind of thing. She does get tired a lot though. She's scared too. Who wouldn't be though.

Good morning people,
Looking forward to this warm weather everyone is talking about.

@rancher hicks - like sourland says, who wouldn't be scared? Our thoughts go out to you and your better half.

@karl E lutz - I remember those ice cube trays with the hand lever. That's all my grandparents had when I was living with them.

A lot of times I open my big mouth and say things I shouldn't in front of the better half. Like thinking out loud. A while back we were in a store (my big outing ) and came across some wallets. The wallet I have is close if not over 30 years, not quite to the rubber band stage, but close. I thinking while looking at them. "This may be the last wallet I have to buy for myself". She looked at me and abruptly turned around and walked away. A life lesson for me.

We finally were able to take a nice walk in the woods the other day. It was a gorgeous day, as the better half would call it, indigo blue sky, crisp clear air, temp at the lean to was about 10 degs. Had ourselves a nice lunch of cheese, dried cherries, chocolate, crackers and hot green tea.

Out to the shop I go. Motor went on the radial saw, so I have to remove it and see if it can be rebuilt. Looks like everything will be cut with the miter saw for the time being.

Enjoy the day
Kaj
