Coffee's ready...

I paint it with a paint that lasts 20 years. If it needs repainting, I prefer to take it off, replace any bad wood, and repaint before reinstalling. I think unscrewing a few screws is worth it, you can paint it so much quicker, and you don't need to be so careful about making a mess.

Now sure how big your house is but It would take me some time. I scraped, primed and painted it. I suspect the person who sold us this house did a half ...... job of it. We've been in the house for only 8 yrs.
20 year paint would probably be sufficient for the time that I have left.

Well now I expect it might be the same for me, but I hope for a bit more than 20. As long as I can handle it of course. Whatever the good lord's willing to give me.

Morning,
I have to give credit to all you painters. That is one thing I just can't do is paint. Our house is wrapped in vinyl, the coops and shed are sprayed with a waterproofing stain. The better half with help, paints the inside of the house.

No rain yet, so I guess I'll water the gardens.

Enjoy your day

I hate painting too. Small surfaces that take an hour or two are ok, but when we redid the cottage I was about to lose my mind. We went with a oil based stain, had to apply it 3-4 times before it looked good. I think I spent two weeks painting it. Luckily, it won't need scraping in the future, and you just need to reapply a coat every ten years or so, and since the grain shows through, it won't look dirty or faded, just age with dignity.

just age with dignity.

Now, this is my goal.

"Poro" would not go with my complexion, but "piki" would be a return towards the youthful me. Perhaps the trim (aka few remaining hairs) in "Piki".?

"Lumi" it is with a bit of "Tuohi" in the brows. Oh, wait, that's what nature and time has created.

Saving on money there.
