Coffee's ready...

good morning chicken wranglers,
Hot ,hot ,hot, is the morning condition here.
I got a mole killing my garden, any suggestions? I have a trap set ,2 actually but not any luck so far. He , or it , is destroying my potatoes and I want it dead!!!
I got up yesterday and the cattle had opened the gate and were a half mile away. My son and I jumped on the 4 wheelers and headed after them, only to run out of gas 1/2 way there? What are the odds that, 2 wheelers, both run out of gas at the same time, in the hour of need? Murphy was working overtime on my account . I had already grabbed a bag of sweet feed and all I had to do was shake it, and call them, and they followed me home, so that part went well, but the prep was not what it could have been, I did however get all my steps in leading them home.
Have a great day
God Bless!

When you set your traps set them under some covering. I set mine near the hole and have caught a few. With raised beds I set the traps up against the side of the bed and lay cardboard over it.

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Thanks rancher I will try it .Still no rain here and looking forward to some " I hope "
God Bless!

We got some rain. I still have some yard to mow that didn't get mowed while we were away. Too, I have to either sharpen or change the blade on the mower. I did take the bagger off and that speeds things up a bit.

I just sent a guy to go buy a new mower for the shop the last one is less than a year old and blew the oil seal ,not worth putting the labor into fixing it.

There was no warranty? Don't know about the oil seal and what that all costs. We got a warranty with ours and they had to replace it the first couple of months.

If you should buy a warranty, try to make sure it covers Labor AND Parts. Will be renewing ours for the washer and drier. Have used them more than once. The first time the guy wrote the repair cost $1200 or so. That was more than both pieces when we bought them new. We'd rather not have to buy new ones right now.

On the flip side. We had a TV break in 11 months and the store warranty only covered parts. We were told the labor would cost nearly as much as the TV did new. And that it would take weeks to fix as they'd have to wait for the parts. We tossed it and bought a new one.
Now we buy nothing made by Phillips. Phillips makes things that are sold under other names. Like Magnavox.

Anyhow check the warranty. If it's an expensive item and the warranty covers Labor and Parts I suggest you get the warranty.

Especially if it is something you can get them to come to the house to fix. Like our snow blower. I can't get that thing in a car. I reckon it's expired but I do know a friends brother who offers home service. He fixed my lawnmower.

Sorry to hear about your mower.

Hows everyones chickens?

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Rancher I would on a good item but this was a 100.00 dollar mower , that I would not have purchased had it been left up to me. I usually purchase house hold appliances from sears and get the service package with them. I spent my youth repairing things I needed to work and have no desire to do so during my mature existence. My chicks are ready to move to an outdoor coop, The meaties are ready for butchering . I will wait until the ducks are ready so I can butcher everything in one day. Well on to work .
God Bless!

I understand. I laugh when I buy something for $20 and they want to sell me a warranty.

Too, generally buy from Sears. Our washer and dryer we got from Loews, because they had a better deal.

Rain today so I'm helping with the laundry. I have to be busy even if it's wasting time here. TV is so bad.

Good morning Rancher, and other chicken wranglers,
We received 2 or 3 inches of rain yesterday depending on where you were in the county. I prayed for rain and should have specified on how I would like to receive it.
Maybe I should not complain at least we are not parched! Well Got work to do .
God Bless!
