See I told you chicks - You can send virtual viruses over the net!!!!!!!!
My chest is killing too and I am sooooo having to use the inhalers - every couple of hours to clear my chest. Though my peek flow reading is hovering around 300 so I am happy with that. - Gets a wee bit bad if it drops below 200. Then I have to take Nebs but I am ok at the moment!!!!!

Like you I am doing laundry as we have sun today!!!!!!!!!!

DH is really in a bad way today - he is sooo sore with his hands and leg he was crying in agony but there is little I can do. I hate to see him like this. We go to the pain clinic regularly but they wont give him anything more than Morphine patches right now as the injections will mess up his heart surgery stents. - Ahhhhhhh hate this.

So hard to watch him this way. I wish he was 20yrs younger again.

So sorry to hear about your husband's pain. Wish there was something better they could do for him. Hope your lungs clear up soon. I have asthma as well and it can be scary! Glad to hear that your peak flow is so high though.

Thanks Annaraven - I am sooo sore in the chest right now. And I have that awful dry cough going on that is keeping DH and I up in the night.
I am taking the inhalers regularly and trying to keep the peak flow up. It droped to 250 in the night, felt like I was drowning. You will understand that feeling.
I hate being this way when DH needs me so much and is in terrible pain himself. The last thing he needs is disturbed nights and worry about me!!!

Dh put some bread on the timer last night so we had the house smelling of fresh baked bread this morning. So we were up for lovely fresh bread and real coffee!!!!

Our clocks went back an hour last night - do you do that too or are you now only 4 hrs behind us????

Morning/Afternoon people,

Coffee's hot, and left over meatloaf, eggs and cheese for breakfast.

Weather: Overcast, 45, going to the mid 50's lower 60's.

oesdog, chics in the sun & annaraven: I hope you 3 are starting to feel better today. I usually sweat colds out. Load up on hot tea ( yea I drink it), hot hot shower, my second skins, flannel pj's, and a mountain of quilts. Next morning, feeling good, strip the sheets off the bed and a good washing.

oesdog: Have you tried the kaiser rolls on here? The ladies can't get enough of them.

Raking of leaves is upon me. Anyone want some?

Enjoy the day

Kaj

I'm sorry I have no idea what your talking about?????????????????

Thanks for the advice re : colds etc. I don;t have the cold though. I have a bad chest infection and a sore throat. It kind of does my Asthma in a bit and isn;t helpful!!!
It is mostly Asthma issues now, and trying to keep the chest from filling up with fluid.

Oesdog

They are like a hard roll, soft bread biscuit. Crust on the outside, soft bread on the inside. Mine are like 4 - 5" dia. 1.5 - 2" tall.

Found the link: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=215525

Thanks so much -

DH is the bread maker in our house and I have already gone to the link and printed it off. It will be good for Dh to do. He is in a lot of pain right now and needs projects that are sit down and easy, that he can enjoy and that take his mind off of the pain he is in.

You need to contact your doctor to see if there's a better option. If you're not already on something like Singulair, you should be. If you're not already using steroid inhalers, you should be. My doc told me that if I ever have a cold, I have to use steroid inhalers during it, to avoid damaging my lungs.

Please contact your doc and go in Monday!

Don;t panic annaraven thats what I am using - all in hand!!!!!! Though I think I will need antibiotics as this isn;t lifting.

So I will just edit last post I guess.

Up early this morning - I am not getting this time change stuff into my system yet!!!!!! Though I don;t think I want it to change either. They are talking of not doing the clocks back in the fall next year?

Was trying to help - on another thread last night. - poor Silkie got munched by a dog. It looks better than I thought though in the pics posted last night. - Got to see them today and she is better then I expected. From what the OP said she had her eye hanging out! Hopefully she will be ok. Got a bit crushed though.

Sad when Dogs -v- Chickens it rarely has a happy ending.

Anyhow I am away to sort for the day. DH has been in a lot of pain and his poor hands are well swollen twice the size - ouch!. He can hardly do anything with them and it seems a wee bit odd when I have to open Jars for him instead of the other way around?

I had a better night but still had a few mad coughing fits. - Hope that gets better fast!!!!!

had lovely coffee and freash bread for breakfast again!

Morning/afternoon people,

Coffee's hot and strong this morning.
We are teasing the frost here. Close but not quite cold enough. I would imagine in the micro-climates there is frost. Further inland they have had frost. I guess 1 good thing for the river.

How did everyone survive Halloween? Where we are, we have no trick or treater. Either to far in the sticks and/or not enough houses around.

Math Ace: how did your kids science projects pan out? I am interested in their results.

Still no eggs here. It's been close to a month. Our neighbor has chickens and I was thinking of hitting her up for some. Nice bunch of people they are. They sell for pets or food, rabbits, goats, lambs, eggs and chickens. It was a shame they had a barn fire this spring and lost alot of animals. They are suppose to have a barn raising next month in November.

Enjoy the day

Kaj

Good Morning, everyone! I was so busy with Halloween yesterday, I didn't check the computer even once. First my son sang with his class at the church that his school is in, and they all looked so cute. He is right at home singing in front of everyone. Such a performer. Then we had a Halloween party there, then the Bucs game to watch, then trick-or-treating. We didn't get one single trick-or-treater - the block I live on now is just lame. We had to walk two blocks up to where normal people who answer the door with candy live. I love my house and my big backyard, but sometimes I miss my old neighborhood. It may have been more closely packed together and a slightly higher crime rate, but everyone walked around there and greeted eachother- stopped to chat - knew first names. Most of my best friends still live there. Maybe I'll move back someday if I can afford a place in that neighborhood with a big yard for the chickens.

Oesdog- so sorry to hear you are so sick, and DH is struggling. My congestion is somewhat better, still a runny nose but I can breath better now. And thanks, Kaj - the hot shower probably helped more than anything else this weekend.

Well, gotta track down some kids and go over their transcripts to make sure they are going to graduate on time. I think some truly believe that they just need to hang out here for four years and they will be handed a High School diploma...... sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but a 1.25 GPA and being 8 credit shorts will, in fact, NOT earn you a diploma.
