Coffee's ready...

Morning folks, No school today so gotta plan my day well to accomplish much.

It's colder but I'll survive I guess. Next week by the grace of God we will be in Alabama hugging the grandkids.

Of course we'll be missing Darcy.

Did up the last of the tomatoes and have a rubarb, pear, ginger jam I want to do. Apple picking time but don't need much apple sauce for the year.

Been posting/whining about feed prices. Lord have mercy! No one here is buying chickens so selling some is out of the question. Won't get a fair price anyhow.

Well take care,

Rancher

Morning people,
I see everyone is doing good. The weather is starting to cool off here also. The forecast is for rain the next couple of days. One morning we woke up to 45 degs. It was better then coffee getting out of your bag and into clothes.

Looks like one group of birds are going into their molt. Looks like a good puff of wind, and I'd have some bald birds. They'll be getting an increase of sunflower seeds and switching their food over to an boiler mix.

Enjoy the day

Sleepy this morning - wish I had a 45 degree blast to wake me up, too. Instead it's muggy and warm, but it is supposed to rain today. That would be nice.

I also wish someone around this school made coffee in the morning. I need more than I brought in my travel mug, but we aren't supposed to have coffee pots with hot coffee in them in our offices for fear of one of our crazy kids throwing it at someone.

Maybe I'll sneak over to McDonalds and get some.
Good to hear from you, annaraven!
Oesdog - your mail box is full.

Have a great day, chicken wranglers. Time to get to the million little tasks sitting on my desk, and pull in a few more kids for counseling.

Morning folks,

Rainy day and can't do much outside. Chicken runs have been shored up so they should be able to be outside and stay dry.

Que - gotta look up Tivoli and see where you are.

Oesdog - say hey to DH and I hope he's having a good day.

Everyone else take care and have a safe day,

Rancher

Had to chase chickens down first thing this morning. I believe that they were let out but have no proof. It just started to rain and I have to go to work so I guess Good morning is an over statement. Hope every one has a great day.

Good morning chicken wranglers
My boy forgot to lock the coop.At 12;00 I was up heading out to the coop rifle in hand to shoot the varmits that was molestin ma chickens. My trusty hound follered me out to the coop, soon as we got thur she took to a sniffin the air and nose to the ground she headed fer the bushes. When she got to the bushes she let out a real soft meanacin guttterral and froze in her tracks.I started to creep over to wur she wuz real quiet like soes to kill wuttever critter wuz hole up in them bushes.I got right up next to her an cocked the rifle, and soons she heard it, she high tailed up to the house an left me standin all alone like. What a chicken of a dog.Ever since she saw me shoot them 2 coons she runs like real cowaerd effen the gun even just gets cocked. She'll tolerate it until the thing is ready for business but that is all.Wishen I had me a real hound rather then a cowardly little girl dog. God Bless!

Sissy, airs a good lotto truth en to wut yer asayin ceptin fer the hound is a gurl. Rancher et wuz dark an I never saw nuthin ah wuz dependin on the ol gurls nose to flush the varmit out an than ah had to wurk late. ah never even got to look an see effen the varmit left a chicken carcass or effen he scadaddled with it on out to fer away places.
I did half to work late and I had put my cows in the pen in the barn with nothing to eat,all night. This makes it easier to get them into the stock wagon cause the are powerful hungry and I coacses them in thar with sweet feed. Anyway I half to leave work early to go take em to visit the nieghbors bull fer a spell effen ya no wut ahm a sayin.
Have a great weekend God Bless!

Morning People,
Looks like another wet muggy day here. The sun came out yesterday just to raise the humidity. Good to see you Sissy. Welcome enjoyin' my chickens.

Rancher: Tivoli is about an hour south of Albany, a tab bit north and east of Kingston along the eastern shore of the Hudson River (where it is starting to become a real river, not that stream up north
lol.png
). Tivoli has a PO at the moment, but no stop light, some bars, restaurants, and a laundry mat. It turns into a small college (Bard) town this time of year. Enjoy your trip to Alabama.

Karl: I had a dog like that. A ma ma's dog. He was a chocolate lab and afraid of water. He would cross streams by going rock to rock. First time I discharged an weapon, he was gone. I thought I lost him, nope ran straight home. That was it for hunting with him.

Chics: McDonald's coffee??????????? But then again, I was on the instant for a 10 days. One good thing about instant, it cut my consumption down to 1 cup/day.

Take care and enjoy,
