Coffee's ready...

It's still dark and it's cold out...frost everywhere. Oh how I already miss my early mornings with the sun. We'll see what daylight savings bring.

Cold and dark here - early mornings are hard to get going and the night comes far too soon again. Sooooooooooooo dark and dismal. We are sorted for the season. We have wood/ logs and plenty of coal and oil and gas so we are fine in that way.

Got the Flu jab this morning and took Danny to get his. He was not in best form as he has been awake all night long for the last two nights running. I am sooooo tired now ans just running out of patience with him. The Dr is looking in to how we can tranqualise him!!!! Elephant dart in the backside!

I just want one night sleep!!! Although were not long back from holiday the pair of us are exhausted already. We were going to try to go out tonight but wev'e cancelled bacause the pair of us are just too tired to enjoy it. - Were trying to get overnight rest- bite care set up but it takes months here and the last time we had overnight care away from the house it was 1997.

Anyhow I am going to go lay down for a bit and try to get a rest. Time for a nice cup of coffee I think and relax. DH has to get his Flu jab this afternoon - Ha ha were all going to be in such bad form with sore arms! - ouch!

The chickens are out free ranging and eating what is left in the yard. They do a good clear up job this time of year. Their pen is soooo water logged and full of mud right now. It's hard to know what to do for the best. DH says they are ok if we can still see their heads?

Oesdog how di dyou get away on holiday? You must have had a sitter for that.Deb and I have not had a night away from the kids in 12 years at least and I'd like to get away just for an evening.I know it is hard with your husband's health also! The weather is another story it always makes me glum when it stays gray for afew days.Hopefully it will cheer up.
Q you guys had snow already huh.We are getting frost but at least it is sunny and dry.
Rngr whisky is something that does not agree with me at all,When I drink it there are bars in my future!

Karl - I was very lucky DD came and stayed here to hold the fort - If it were not for her and her partner moving in with the baby we could not have gone. They looked after everything while we were gone. All the animals, Chickens, dogs and cat and Danny and also Ben so it worked out well for us. That is the only way we can do it but they have to move in for the time.

Q- We don;t have snow yet but are heading for it in the next while i think.

I'm Sad about Rancher leaving us still - I do know he is posting on other threads so I guess that means he is alive and kicking and I suspose it is what he wanted. It feel a bit sad that he chose what he did though as he closed the door on us all even though we care for him very much. I feel like we lost a sheep!

karl: Dad always said: "dont drive in where you can't back out" same goes for the whiskey which could cause the former. Must know your limits. DB gave it up when he lost his car. Litterally didn't know how he got home and at which bar he left it at. Hasn't had a drop since. it is serious stuff.

Yes Knowing limitations is a good thing. As I say too much of a good thing is a bad thing. It's not the "thing" that is bad be it whisky or money or a gun or anything else - it is what you do with it and so it is that that is where the evil comes in. I don;t agree with drunkeness at all but I love a drink especially my wine to relax.

A couple of beers or a glass of wine is good for you really.
I always tell Deb just drink till I get handsome! Then 2 bottles of wine later I not sure who I" am (to her) but she treats me like a king!I never drink wine or whisky ,only beer.
But the bennifits of wine for the WW are astounding, candy is dandy but liquor is quicker,my favorite saying yaknow!
Gotta work take care God Bless!

You are all such a screem you make me laugh and feel so much better!!!!!!

I guess we are in Whisky country here in Ireland so a deal of folk prefer that. Though when I was a kid living in the west country it was Cider. I think it's just the area and what your used to. I never drank wine for years because I just didn;t like it. I prefered Cider and beer. But then DH got me into the wine more when he started brewing it.
Now I just love sitting infront of the roaring fire on a cold winter night with a glass of wine in my hand. -
Karl your DW - I think she has the same issues with wine I do!

Maybe thats why my DH brews so much!
