Collecting eggs from bird nest outside and incubating, ever done?

i was just wondering if any1 has ever just went outside to soem bird nest got eggs and try to hatch them in th eincubator is it possible to do this if so please tell your story here and add pics too if u got any

Hmmmm... I believe that it's illegal to do so. Some folks have found eggs that have blown out of nests in storms etc.... and even that I believe is against the law.... but to actually take them from the nest when they would otherwise be healthy and hatched and cared for by their parent birds... well, not a good idea as mortality for wild birds hatched or raised in captivity is pretty high

I thought about doing the same thing last year but after thinking about it I wasn't sure if it was legal so i didn't.

Is it legal???

Because years ago it was very fashionable to collect them and some species were over gathered. That I imagine lent to initial laws against it.... it's about preservation.
