Color Range Broilers On the Way

I'm not in a position to free range at this point in time, but would like to build the largest possible tractor for the meat birds as possible. How many square feet per bird would be a minimum for these color rangers? I was thinking 10 per bird, more if possible?

I tried to order a few silkies but they have different ship dates than the RedBros.
"Sure, I'll take a dozen silkies with that meat bird order".

It's killing me. Mine are an hour away but I can't see them until Sunday.

Hey Grey did you get attached to any of yours? They are aweful cute.

I love Joel's setup. We picked the silkies up at his farm since his doesnt live too far away from us. He said that he's not used to small orders. (I got 26 for my birthday) He's used to around 2,000 at a time because people raise them for meat in the Asian markets.

He sells his silkies as meat birds? I've eaten silkie but never thought there was
that kind of demand.

How's the quality of your silkies?

Delicious! One was droopy so we put it in the oven and it came right back to life. I'm hungry already!

DC can you elaborate on that or are you messin with me? Did you really eat
silkie? So few here have. We really have eaten them. I mean seriously. I have
pics to prove it.

Messin with me is fine too.

It's not like I don't deserve it.

I am just joking around. BUT I would love to eat a silkie, but only if it was prepared by a Chinese black meat chicken specialist. You know, those medicinal guys who make them all souped up.

Hehe. Souped up.
