Colorado Shooting - How horrible!

as a law abiding gun owner in California, this POS should feel the pain of everyone affected a trillion times over.
What should happen is all these stupid laws restricting law abiding citizens to carry. The movie theater doesnt allow people to carry, if someone had carried they could have possibly stopped the shooting and less lives lost.
.........................
EDUCATION is the key, level the playing field and arm yourself, protect yourself and others, otherwise you are just fish in a barrel, humans in a theater disarmed.
Arent you anti gun people tired of this yet? or do you enjoy hearing these kinds of stories and pass laws thinking they will help?
Though I dont disagree, lets not turn this in to a gun control debate.

Quote: I have talked to a few people on this. I had no plans to see the movie an now do out of curiosity. Friend A says she wanted to see it but now cant bring her self to. Friend B said they could not get in to the other movie cause of thinking of Mr Leger, so has no plans of seeing this one cause they expect to not be able to get in to thins one cause of thinking of these people.

Agreed, except I send my thoughts and wishes rather than 'prayers'.

Governments use such incidents to restrict the rights of individuals, so the many are disadvantaged because of the actions of the few. The fact is that guns alone kill no-one but people with guns do. So what's the right balance?
Now thats a good question, should these situaions be handled individualy? Has anybody heard/read anything on the guilty party's behavior before he did his deed? I've only reas about the suspect's mom's words to the police. She didn;t deny that her son was guilty but I think there's more to this than she's letting on.

I'm curious, are you choosing not to see the film based on the isolated actions of one man? Or do you simply have no interest in the film?
I have a CC permit so people like this guy do not worry me so much... I would have blown him away given the chance, the movie is not really what I seek for entertainment and having seen the other one most sequals suck. There is too much darkness in the real world I do not need to put more of it in my head.

I planned on being at the midnight opening but was babysitting granddaughter so couldn't go. Went tonight, just got back, was an absolutely fantastic movie. Will admit that I made a mental note of the exits after I sat down and I noticed when the usher walked through the theater.

I will also admit that - when the first fight scene broke out - I realized I was at the portion of the movie where the shooting began based on what I've read. The theater was pitch dark, the fight scene was very loud primarily with gunfire, the screen kept going from dark to light as the scene changed. It made it very obvious how the patrons would think this was part of the movie and how it would initially delay their reaction and then generate overall confusion.

I didn't dwell on it after that scene. I got so engrossed in the movie that I didn't think of it again until after the movie was over.

One of the people who was shot was a navy man an said the shooting stopped cause the gun jammed...

A hero (among many) by the way, he laid on his friends to shield them all while he was being shot.

One of the people in the apartment building said they heard loud music an went to ask him to turn it down but no one was there an the door was open/unlocked but she did not go in.

He had body armor. The stuff is rated to stop up to a .44 magnum, so while no doubt a CC holder would have saved a lot of lives, it wouldn't have been a "blow him away" situation like most, unless you landed a head or neck shot. Also, it was dark and crowded, adding problems. I agree with the spirit of your post, but you're dramatically oversimplifying the situation.
