I wanted to let you guys know, I got an email back from Ideal, they are giving us a refund. That's great I guess, I'm still just sad about the whole thing, we lost a couple more today too.

I would like to see your pictures. Thank you.
I work at a Grand format printer, so I'll probably grab a small crate on my way home tonight.
What is that fine cat litter type of bedding material called? Or what should I used for bedding?

Exactly what I was thinking. Thanks for the pictures. This is what they're in now. It's two boxes nested in each other so I can spread them apart and get more room if needed. The grate on the top is a part of a dog play pen that we disassembled for making our bunny cage.
This is what they move to once they're too big for the box (sorry not alot of detail)
It's like this except it has a floor made from a tarp and one side opens like a door. You can actually kind of see the bigger brooder in the garage in the background.
I'd use wood shavings for the bedding.
Quote: Do you have any bantam Cochins for sale in this bunch for sale?!? If, so what are you asking for them?
Oh, hope the rest will be ok. Wonder if they got chilled????Well, lost a duckling and another bantam over night. This stinks! There's a few others that don't look so hot either, it's not looking good. Keep your fingers crossed for us.
Will make for a very colorful egg basket! All are good layers too, so you should have plenty of eggs.I'm looking at chicks and I'm thinking I will start with five. I have an 11 year old so nice chicks is important as this will be her and my venture together. I'm thinking barred Plymouth Rock, buff Orpington, black australorp, Rhode Island Red, and an araucana. We'd get one of each. Does that sound like a friendly good egg laying bunch? Thanks for your input!
