Any advice for raising a single serama chick???
See if anyone nearby will sell you another bantam chick to raise with it, they get really lonely when raised alone, and sometimes get difficult to integrate into a flock. I have Silkie chicks but I am way South of you. Surely someone up your way has something.

Anycase, I am going to try and catch up on some of the thread, I've been gone too long.
Glad you wrote and that things are basically fine. We were worried about you....

I finally got a photo of the updated progress on the greenhouse. 16x24 is what the greenhouse structure will be. Then a winter coop will get attached to the back side of it. I sure hope it turns out the way i want it to.

So the winter coop will be on the slope side? I can't wait to see how this progresses :)

I learned recently I will be traveling to Phoenix on the 14th, returning on the 18th. If anyone wants eggs transported either direction, PM me. Flying from the Colorado Springs Airport to Phoenix Airport, staying in Tempe.

I wish I had known a few days earlier I was going, now I have to hope eggs I set to hatch 3 of the days I'll be gone, don't candle well next week. Bob will feed and water the chickens, but he doesn't really want anything to do with hatching and brooding, although if it comes down to it he can probably be talked into moving chicks from hatcher to brooder. I seriously thought about declining the offer because of the chickens, but it's an opportunity for training, and I hate saying no to that.
