Thought I would share films of my arm and my new hardware.
Does this mean you are all screwed up?

Couldn't help myself lol.
Really that does look rather painful. I am hoping you have a good recovery.

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful 70 degree weather along the front range! Stopped for a lunch break but otherwise have been outside working on the runs for the coops. Will do more tomorrow. I think I've got a mild sunburn...

I have a Cochin that I bathe once per summer, right before I trim her extremely fluffy behind. She doesn't get muddy, she gets a poo streak....which i can't stand to look at. The dirt doesn't bug me, and that's a good thing because their feathered feet get pretty dirty. I imagine bathing a bantam is much easier than these standard Cochins, although I would never bring one of the Roos in, they're just too big.

I am extremely lucky he's a tiny rooster & so far extremely well behaved in the house so close to my dogs (he has an allergic reaction to the dust in our barn, I have to bring him in & clean up his nares every so often). I don't know if I'd treat a regular sized rooster the way I treat him; he gets pampered & indulged probably too much in the eyes of more experienced chicken owners. But he's kinda special to me. :)

Cochix goodness gracious lady!! Healing vibes sent your way :)

A surprise hatch in the janoel incubator. It seems I am losing the eggs when I move them into lockdown?!? :(

Bringing me to 3 chicks hatched! Can't seem to upload pictures again. :( this one is light with feathered legs and FEET! squeeeel!

I sold 2 roos and a hen and a pullet. Moved the roos and some pullets around while I was messing up the pecking order etc. Now the ac boys have 14 pullets to ahem, keep them busy ;) it's MUCH more quiet here.

In a month I may start incubating eggs again with the ac over the pullets just to see what hatches lol

The svart honas from gff came in Wednesday. Yeah.. things need to get rearranged pretty quick, as chicken math has got the best of me :)

Haha, not too bad pain wise, but I have a high tolerance to pain.

Thanks, congrats on the chicks.

Anyone on the western slope have blue, white or black silkies? My daughter is looking for a pair or trio for 4H. We're willing to drive an hour or two from Grand Junction.

Picture of my 3 chicks

and I am really loving this brinsea brooder heater plate vs the red heat lamp by a long shot! The chicks are much more active and no pasty butt! They explore a lot, they would explore the whole room if I let them.

Hopefully tomorrow we can build them something better.

Hi All.
We just candled the eggs in the incubator. It has been a week. We had a total of 23 eggs. 10 shipped NN eggs and 13 from Perchronchick (thanks!). We watched several YouTube videos, and had at it.
To my surprise several of the shipped NN eggs were moving! 9 of the 10 shipped eggs are showing veins and have moving embryos. Only 3 of the eggs PC brought were showing veins and moving. 4 of PC eggs were not fertile (clear?). 9 of PC eggs we just aren't sure what we are seeing, so I guess I'll just leave them for a few more days. They don't look like the eggs that are moving and for sure alive.
I guess lots can still go wrong, but I am really hoping that I get at least 2 or 3 birds from these eggs.

I now have like 10 doz eggs sitting in my kitchen waiting for buyers

I went ahead and bought a sign for the front fence:

Hope it generates some sales... I will only have it out there on weekends when I'm home, not full time.
