Colorado

Sounds like everyone weathered our last snow!!!! Been awhile since i have visited here, ten pages to read!!

I have some extra six to eight month old large fowl pullets for sale, mostly Barnie crosses and one Marans cross, PM me if interested. Just at POL.

Was curious if anyone is selling hatching eggs here? I am interested in BCM, Barnevelders, maybe Icelandic or other types of those breeds. Thanks.

It is NICE in Berthoud, and I am resurrected, at last. Hope you all and all your fowl are enjoying a beautiful day. And getting eggs!

Now that my LF are starting to get serious about laying, my Silkies have decided to taper off. - just when I have a request for Silkie hatching eggs. It seems to me that the sight of an egg excites them into laying - or that they lay as a group or not at all. So when I pull an egg or gather their stash, in the absence of eggs, they stop laying. Am going to try leaving some other eggs for them to hatch, and maybe they will get the idea.

I am also wanting some Indian runner eggs, ASAP for a kindergarten hatching project, and will pick up if anyone has some for sale in northern Colorado. Blessings

Can't help anyone looking for eggs but I do hope you find what you're looking for. And I hope you share some pictures when they hatch.

I work from home on Fridays and it has been so nice I decided to bring out the ducks' kiddie pool. The girls didn't even wait for me to fill it completely before jumping in.

Cody was out with me enjoying the warm weather too.

Thanks. Cody is a Maltese. He doesn't know it yet but he is getting a bath tomorrow. He's a bit of a mess right now because of all the melting snow. Not that I'm complaining about melting snow.

I thought he looked like a small little feller. I bet he will feel good after his bath even if he puts up a fuss about it.

I am not liking the mud but glad for the melting. My dogs drag mud in by the truck load I think. (big dogs lol)

The majority of my yard is wood mulch and stone pavers so I don't have to deal with much mud. It's mostly from when we go on walks. Thank goodness. Yeah both dogs dislike baths but they always get to go for a walk afterward so they put up with it. They also get lots more cuddles from everyone because they are so soft and smell so good after a bath.

I'm excited to see how Cody does with the chicks I'm getting in April. He was wonderful with the ducklings but they didn't want anything to do with him. They still don't. I'm hoping some of the chicks will bond with him.
