Hello from Denver! Well, Aurora really, but whateves. Also looking for some Easter Eggers (Pullets or laying) but really not wanting to drive more than an hour away. I'm already driving 2 hours to get my first chickens on Monday.

I know the JAX Ranch & Home in Fort Collins had Ameracuanas (probably just EEs, though) last week. They were day olds, though. They sell out quick. I know my co-worker got some Ameracuanas/EEs at the JAX in Loveland a few weeks ago.

COCHix, I bought a cheap ($16), large, telescoping fish net on Amazon, and I started carrying it with me - in its shorter configuration - when I went down to the coops to do chores. I, too, have scars on my legs (and holes in my pants), both old and new, and I was becoming so fearful - and angry with my Roos - that chores were a burden and my Roos were endangered. The net is not really convenient to carry around, but for awhile I wouldn't go anywhere without it. These Roos attacked even my large LGD, which really made me mad. Sooo, initially when a bird flew at me, I just stuck out the net, caught him, and held him down for a few minutes; not one of them ever got up and attacked again right away, but they might the next day, or even a little sooner. The last couple of birds I pinned, I put a weight on the net and left them pinned while I went about my chores. It didn't hurt them, I felt safe and comfortable and in control, and when I let them up, they went flying the heck out of there. I let my dog sniff them when they are pinned, and I think she learns to recognize the offenders, and they learn some respect. Not one has attacked me in the last few weeks, but what I really want is for them to get out of my way when they see me coming. Some do now, but some I still manipulate with the net, pushing them off the hens at feeding time and shoving them out of the way when they start hovering. The net gives me so much control with these guys, and I am happy. Looking forward to the day when I can leave The Net on the wall and be safe with just my dog. And of course The Net is a godsend to me for just catching chickens. If anyone called me wimpy, though, I would be hard pressed to disagree.

Kingkoopa What are pulleys? I see you keep saying pulleys. Anyways, are they Easter Eggers?

Spellcheck on my device does not like the word pullet, comes out pulley no matter what I type.
