Just found out that Wardell Feed store will take roosters for $10 each. They resell them to someone who wants and roo. Sometimes depending on the breed they go to a farm. They accept them on Thursday,
But only large fowl. Here is what their website said....

We Take Roosters

UPDATE: We are currently only accepting roosters on Thursdays!

Do you need to get rid of a rooster? We know many cities prohibit them and that some people just don’t like the noise. We know that people who buy baby chicks may end up with one or two.

Whatever the reason, Wardle Feed is glad to take your roosters!

I have an unwanted rooster, what do I do?

If it is a standard sized (non-bantam) rooster, we have a place for him. Just put him in a ventilated box and bring him in.

Will you pay or charge for my rooster?

We charge $10 for a standard rooster. Sorry, but we do not take bantam roosters.

What do you do with roosters you purchase?

Chicken owners are often concerned about what will happen to their roosters, and are relieved to find out that we keep them with us at Wardle Feed and resell them to customers wanting roosters. Depending on the circumstances, occasionally we send them with our poultry supplier, Fulenwider Farm.

Our three bachelors today...11 1/2 weeks old. They are going to be handsome!

I love your hair color. Right now I have purple but I'm not brave enough to have it on top. It is all on the underside and back so it can easily be hidden. But it's fun to put my hair up in a way that it shows.

That's so cute. I get very loud quacking at my back door that can quickly become not cute.

You can also try talking to someone at your local feed store. I got my chicks at Kiowa Country feed store. I'm on their email list and one email was about an animal swap/sale being held at the store. In the email it said that people were always looking for roosters and kittens. So the fed store people might know someone looking or might let you put up a flyer.
I *love* dying my hair! I'm very lucky that I found a job that doesn't care what my hair is (or that I have an undercut). I've definitely had to buy a few wigs for possible jobs, just in case - downside to having all over "unnatural" colours! :D

Your ducks are fantastic! I wish I had a pond so I could have a few.

I've only recently started but it is a lot of fun. So far I've done blue, teal, and purple. I'm not doing purple again. Even after 4 weeks it still bleeds out when wet. The other colors stopped doing that after about two or three washes. When the purple has faded more I'm going with pink to see how they mix. I waited so long because it required me to bleach my hair and I didn't want to do a lot of damage to it. But now that I pulled the trigger on that I'm going to try every color.

I adore my ducks. They were the first and have started me on an avian adventure. In less than a year I have gone from no birds to ducks, chickens, and quail. I'm seriously considering moving to a place where I can have roosters in a couple years. Maybe the Black Forest area. I've always wanted to move to a place where neighbors aren't so close anyway. You don't need a big pond for ducks. I'm sure they would love a pond but my ducks seem very happy in their kiddie pool. Lots of folks keep ducks without having a pond. Not that I'm trying to convince you to get ducks.

Ha-ha. How dare you forget the bread!!

It's shameless...I know.

Get this...today I walked in the house, after I got home from CSU, and the dogs greeted me. Once the chickens heard the dogs, they stormed the deck...all four of them pecking at the glass. Yeah, they got bread, their becoming pretty demanding.

Got 3 eggs today though....
