Colorado

Please everyone help me out here. I have some BCM roosters that are about 5 months old. They are absolutely beautiful and I am giving them away for FREE. I am in Pueblo West but I would be willing to haul them a short distance such as Canon or Springs. They are very well tempered. My 7 year old girls go in with them all the time and have had no problems.

You could alo try putting some construction plastic ( Sorry, have no idea what its called)... it comes in small rolls, and you can get it at like Big R or Ace

Not a bad idea. If I have time this afternoon or tomorrow, I'll check it over (lots of rain, wind, and thunder/lightning last night), sand it and see. This was built to stay in the hen house. If I built another to go outside, then I would have to build it with small "eaves" to keep some of the rain from dripping onto the feed. I'll aslo probably make it shorter.
This thing is HUGE and VERY heavy! I estimate that it could hold up to 100 lbs of feed, not that i would put that much in though..... At 4 feet of dinner time access on each side, that's 8 total feet it could easily feed 8-10 full grown large fowl chickens if they chose to eat at the same time.

Hey oshun! Not sure who might have Brahmas here hopefulley someone will see your post

cacky I wish I could help but I tried to add another roo too my flock who is overseen by two big ol' Langshan boys who surprisingly get along. But the new roo was not welcomed at all so back he went to his old home who ended up keeping him so it worked out.

If any one is interested in organic chicken feed around Lyons or Longmont there is a lady there that sells great stuff, no corn or soy, no what the heck is it called hmo or ghmo, no gentic modified stuff in it. My chickens love and thrive on it, found her on Craigslist her telephone number is on the listing and can give the details of all thats in it.

Let's just say they are far more reasonable than shipping costs on organic feed that I was paying. You know those orange buckets with lids they sell at home depot or those empty taping compound buckets, well she charges $20 bucks for one of those, not cheap but i love the looks of whats in it, and my chickens go bonkers for it. I you can't find her on craigslist pm me I will give you her number, now she is out of the feed till thursday i cleaned her out last saturday. If she is not home you can go to her place and go into the grey trailer and take what you want and put the money in the black lunch box in there. She claims she gets the stuff from a local farmer, sure would like to find out where that farmer is, could maybe get it even cheaper.

Are the prices reasonable?

Just looked on the Brighton web site, under municipal code. Chickens or poultry aren't specifically mentioned, but probably fall under livestock. Those are restricted to specific zoning areas. If it were me, I would give them a call and find out for sure. I didn't find any ordinances on line for Lochbuie, so you will need to call them as well. Lochbuie may be under Weld county ordinances.
