HAHAHA! I FINALLY have someone laying. I suspect that whoever it is has been laying for a while just never in the nesting box. They have been free ranging for a while wo I suspect I have missed a few eggs. Now that they are in an enclosure with the coop I have eggs!!! YAY!!!!

Hi fellow Colorado chicken lovers!!! I just got my chickens this last March and am having so much fun with them! I have learned so much already from everyone on this forum! It's amazing!!! I live near Grand Junction but don't see many members from over here. So excited to get to know everyone!

Anyone going to the Kiowa animal swap? Saturday at Kiowa feed, Sept 10. I have never been to one before and am thinking of taking my Blue Cochin Roo. A friend of mine is taking 20 chickens. I am just curious what they are like? She says you can sell them or swap them or give them away, Just curious about it. She had only been once a few years ago.

Hi Owensmom, Missysv, Megshenhut, Luvducks and Warbird. I am on the Western Slope too. I am in Garfield County just outside of New Castle. There are are few other western slopers on this thread. Alpine Farm is near Meeker, and there are a few other folks in or near GJ who pop in from time to time. Welcome to BYC.
