Anyone in the Springs area selling eating eggs? I only have 1 egg layer for now and she is on strike

I will need to purchase eggs throughout the Summer. By fall, if things go correctly, I should have duck eggs coming out of my ears, but for now, I need good eggs.

PLEASE don't make me buy those horrible store bought eggs!!! LOL

I put my garden in today.

I am exhausted! We were able to get everything but the corn in before dark. We will put that in tomorrow and then put up the fence to keep the deer out. I LOVE planting/growing season!

I have a sweet 9 week old female "muted calico" kitten that needs a home. She is the last one from the litter. Any Colorado BYC'ers that would like her - she is Free! I have her listed on craigslist right now. Here is a picture of her. Please let me know if you are interested.

Hi I am in Trinidad Colorado, I have a adolecent Indian runner duck, she lost her best and only friend last Sunday she is getting more and more depressed and I am very worried about her. I have to ducklings coming either tomorrow or the next day. They will not be able to go out with her for another 4-5 weeks and I am afraid she will not make it. I was wondering if anybody knew anyone that was selling or willing to sale a older duck, regardless of breed or sex. I have been through all the pet classifieds and the few promising ones have fallen through

I was in the same boat as you a few weeks back. I put a large mirror and a turkey feather duster (secured to the wall) in to my 5 week old rouen's pen after his buddy, a 7 week old khaki mix died. This kept him out of a funk long enough for my little buff mix to get big enough to go in to a pen with him without getting accidentally smushed.

You may want to try this until you can scare up another duck.

I have tried the mirror thing but it just seems to scare her. I have to keep her penned up tight until we find the wolf mix dog that ran off with her buddy and "dispose of him"

She is such a cutie! A year ago we'd have jumped at the chance to get her but we've got all the kitties we need right now. Good luck finding her a good home.

Another possibility... this coming Saturday at the Franktown Be Quick feedstore is a community swapmeet and people are always looking for kittens.

Oh Wow DP, I saw her on Craigs earlier today and what a beautiful little girl. I just adopted a 4 year old male from Petsmart last month and that puts us at 3 cats otherwise I would've been to your place this morning

I hope she finds a great home.
