Colorado

Busting out the coop. Hardwares all installed & then removed for painting. Doors hinged and the nest door is framed up + hinged.
All I got left is 2 bottom panels, a ladder, wiring and....... the chicken door. Still stumped on the chicken door.
Put in my order for the replacement sebrights with the Co-op today also.
I'll add photos to my Berthoud page tomorrow.
Coop pictures posted on my Thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/736729/berthoud-noco/10#post_10512121
Now for some chick pictures.

Don't turn your back on this one!

I buy bulk feed from Fehringer too.http://fehringerfarms.com/
A couple farmers near me buy this by the ton and sell it from their farms by the bucket.
I alternate between the Ranchway and Fehringer feed for my girls.
That sounds interesting. Do you know the pricing and if they also sell scratch? I did email the Fehringer Farms folks also. Do you get the non soy non corn ranchway feed?

I am have some chicks that hopefully will be hatching around the 24th.(next Sunday). They come from a mixed flock of black copper Marans and americanas. They should produce an olive colored egg, they may be pure EE or pure BCM. It's a toss up. You can have some if you would like. I am in Colorado Springs. No charge. I have no idea how many might hatch I have 13 that still look viable but I'm not sure what might come of that. Let me know if your interested as I was hoping to find a nice home for these guys. I would rather give them to BYC members then random Craigslist people.
Serious? Wow. you are like hitting the jackpot.
I would love some of these chicks.
Are these in a incubator or under a hen? Just curious.

Ranchway Easy Feed has no soy no corn organic.
I am in Boulder and it is at Jax's,and Niowot feed. http://www.ranch-way.com/products/organic-feed/easy-feed-organic-no-corn-no-soy-layer-15
If you have Ranchway now I would think you could get this.

I am in Colorado Springs and we buy our feed at Agri Feed just down the street from us. I will ask if they can get the non soy, non corn feed. Thanks very much!!

Ranchway has organic scratch but it has corn. I have some Fehringer scratch that is non soy/corn too. My girls are just ok with it, they don't love the Fehringer scratch.
The Ranchway is really expensive, $26 a bag for organic/no soy corn

Thanks to everyone who posted with chicks. I was looking for two unvaccinated barred rocks.. shortly after I posted I got a call from a lady with 2...just what we needed, so now our flock is complete. Thanks so much to all of you who posted. We have been using an organic feed for chick starter, scratch and layer food from Ranch Way Feed in Fort Collins or Greeley, not sure which. It has corn in it and soy. I am interested in finding a local source for organic feed that doesn't contain soy and corn. Is anyone here using such a feed and know where I can get it? Thanks very much. I will post pics of the new babies soon.

you might check to see if the have or can make it at the greeley feed elevator.

My chicks arrived this morning!  27 healthy, peeping fuzzies!  They are settling in right now but I could about scream on one thing; it looks like they included barred rock and black Australorps.  They are close to identical as chicks.  Guess I will figure it out when I get a chance to look closer in an hour or two.  DS's nap time.

if you can give it a week, the bars will start showing up on the BRs.
