Oh, I hope some of those dark eggs hatch

So sorry, Chick. I took my favorite girl to the bird vet after she was huddling in the corner of the pen. He thought she was egg blocked and 'cleaned her out' with some rubber gloves. 2 hours after we got home she was dead. Nobody has any idea what happened to her. The reason I'm here is because Chrissy, one of my Ancona's, hasn't left the nesting box in 24 hours. It sucks to lose a pet, just know you're not alone.

So I got out the incubator and it is ready to go. Abe will be "transferred" to pen B today. Starting on Monday, we will be collecting eggs for the first batch of the season.
Here's hoping we have a good fertility rate......

Privett is not doing well with their hatch. Anyone have any leads I could use?

Have you checked with a national Sebright Club? I'm not sure if there is one..... The clubs usually have a breeders directory. I would contact the club secretary and see if there are any breeders within a few hour drive.... Just a thought.

Yep, the club info dead ends into a Show Breeder in GA. $100 a piece plus $65 shipping!

I'm gonna keep looking I think. A little rich for my blood!

HELP!

Does anyone have a couple Bantam chicks they are ready to sell? I have a gap in my flock size and I'm pretty open to any banties. PM me please.
Thank you.

Ouch!

I saw that Cackle was still advertizing them.....
Crackle has a 25 chick minimum correct?
I need 2 or 3. One heck of a predicament I'm in. Breeders are outrageous & hatcheries offer to high a QTY for me. I'll find them. I just don't want to have a huge age gap in my chicks.
