ok, now i'm confused. lol. i found a city ordinence for loveland that basically said you could have as many hens as you like. a rooster is allowed....all they need is proper care and proper home. i don't have the link because my laptop is being repaired..... this one says only 6 hens allowed in larimer country, no roosters. I'm not sure which is right, but i currently have 7 hens and there are 11 chicks in my brooder :/found this http://www.larimer.org/planning/planning/Animal/animal_regulations_chickens.htm covers backyard chickens.
I would think the County overrides the city. I'll have to keep checking on that one though.
Just got a message from them (missed the call). City ordinances override county(like wsmith said).ok, now i'm confused. lol. i found a city ordinence for loveland that basically said you could have as many hens as you like. a rooster is allowed....all they need is proper care and proper home. i don't have the link because my laptop is being repaired..... this one says only 6 hens allowed in larimer country, no roosters. I can't read the file on my nook or phone and now I feel the need to make sure it hasn't changedhttps://www.backyardchickens.com/a/loveland-colorado-chicken-ordinance. I don't rember what the updated link is but this sums it up.
Post a pic, I played this game last week.Ok... I might be about to buy a chick from big r....any one have any guesses as to what they are?
My wife was very tempted as well, but she refrained due to the 12 eggs in your incubator at the moment. My kids on the other hand are DYING to go and look at them. They just know that I will cave and get a couple more. My wife did not get any pics of them, but says there are a lot of little tan ones, that will probably be BO or leghorns maybe california whites. I like my california white. she is quite docile and smaller than the rest of my flock but still lays large eggs almost every day. Are they selling straight run or sexed pullets?Ok...
