Colorado

Hey everybody! Young couple and soon to be chicken owners, here, coming from Fort Collins! Looking at getting a small coop with 2-3 chickens in April!
I'd love to hear from the other FoCo peeps (get it?!) out there!
Any Colorado-specific advice for me?

i'm in north loveland and currently have 7 hens and 11 chicks. Lol. What breeds are you looking into? And welcome!

Know your city regulations(& your neighbors), pick cold hardy birds, and have fun.

Picked up 2 barred cochin bantams and 1 Buff cochin Bantam from Murdock's yesterday. They are so stinking cute!

I have 8 total now and city says 6 max, + the Murdock's cochins were straight run, so my point is if anyone want a Roo that I may possibly have let me know.

4 SLW & 1 Silver Sebright are 4 weeks old & 3 Cochins are on the 1st week.

Fort Collins allows them now and the neighbors we are closest to are getting chickens in Fall!!!
I'm so excited. They are all so cute!
Good deal for you.
The lady I talked to in town basically told me 2 per adult per household, BUT since police currently dont drive door to door it's not enforced strictly. So basically if you're in good with your neighbors you have free run.

So has anybody heard of this? Tried it? Thoughts on if it will be a good feed for a laying flock? It seems a bit too good to be true, so I thought I'd ask the experts!

first time i have seen this but it looks good. i wonder where to get the seeds in a large amount and how much they cost. i would like to try it out and see if it works. we normally get cat grass as a treat for the rabbits but this will be better. (i am not much of a shopper so sorry if it's a stupit question)
