Most didn't have any discernible air cells. And of the ones I did see, I don't remember any being bigger than a dime, and none were misshaped. I was going to mark them but I couldn't find a pencil. I am going to candle them again tomorrow to see how many loose ones I'm dealing with exactly.
I'll try to take a pic of any questionable ones to get your opinions.

Hi everyone. It has been a while since I have been on, life has been a bit crazy. I am going to try and catch up on recent events but I figured I would say 'Hi' before diving in. :)

Anyone on here ever lived in Texas? We will be moving in a few months. El Paso. I am not thrilled about the location right now or the fact that we will be living in an apartment but it's a good job.

Good luck on the eggs! We also got about a foot or more of snow and still flaking. No wind though

!!!! I spent Wed burning 25 slash piles in thigh to waist deep snow from all of the wind that dumped it off behind a ridge. I slept like a baby! Next time I will be tossing the snowshoes in the truck just in case.

Yeah, We got over a foot of snow too, on top of the drifts we already had. My chicken pen will not see soil until June!! No wind, thank God! Wet heavy snow, more like April snow. There is more snow in the forecast for next week. I think that our warm January weather is gone. Oh wait, it is February. Yes this is starting out like a typical February in the Rocky Mountains. The mountains are getting hammered. Monarch ski resort got 29 inches as of Friday morning.

El Paso is hot and dry, that is about all I know about it! Was there for one day, years ago.

We ended up with just over nine inches of very, very wet snow. No wind here either, just snowed on and off for over a day and half.

Chickens are not venturing past their door, looks like another inside day for them, I wonder what they do all day in the coop??? I may have to spy on them to see! lol :D Last time I looked, some were pecking around, some were on the perches grooming, and some were just standing around! Just like people, everyone has their own personality. They do look rather bored though........

We have about 8-12 inches of snow. I love the wet spring style snows. The trees look so pretty. I'm so glad we finished the expansion on the chicken run. They aren't locked in but they won't be venturing out when the snow is this deep. Luckily since there wasn't wind even the side of the run that's not wrapped in plastic barely had a dusting of snow on it and the side that is wrapped was completely dry.

I lived in TX (dallas area) for about 6 months. I hated it! My husband was born and raised there. He used to have the typical Texas pride but after I dragged him out of there and he's lived in CA and CO for 13 years, he's not uttered the words that he doesn't want to live there again!

The door to the room housing my incubator was accidentally shut and it got pretty cold in there last night. I walked in this morning and the alarm was going off with a low temp warning. It was 92.5 degrees. :-( I'm hoping that potentially 8 hours at that temp isn't going to kill my hatch rate. It's back up to 99.5 now. I'm on Day 13.

Hi! Great to see you! If you are going to have to live in an apartment does that mean you won't be able to keep your birds? Eek! I have been near El Paso once, all I remember is that it was very hot and windy. Could have just been poor timing, I have no idea whether that is the prevailing condition there. I'm sorry to hear you're moving, but I understand, sometimes you have to go where the job takes you.

We are finally getting some snow today, not a lot but it's been flurrying all morning, so maybe an inch by now? I don't really like it but we need the moisture badly. A breeze out of the East but nothing like the winds the other night. Thank goodness.

Suncatcher I completely forgot you have Welsummers - how long have you had them, and how well do you like them?

Oh bummer :( Chances are you will still get a hatch, will be interested to hear whether it is delayed because of the 8 hours at lower temp.
