Colorado

Anyone in Northern CO interested in a gold laced brahma rooster? He is about 8-9 months and seems like a nice boy. He was placed as a hen and unfortunately is not. I'd like to find him a nice home.

Had that with a Speckled Sussex, still have the boy. I can't take him. To keep him try putting him into a crate and bring him into a dark room in your house at night.

About bringing eggs from england, I am not use how difficult it is but if you want to bring chickens you need to call(animal importation) they will tell you what test need to be done on the chickens you are planning to bring then you nee to find a breeder over there that will do the get USA is asking once you have that then just need to call agin to the importation and ask for the vet that will be in the airport (DIA) This part is the tricky one because the vets have their own schedule so you may need to arrange your way back to the days they will be in the airport and then they just check your birds and paperworks and that i it.
Hope it helps, maybe for egg will be easier is just a matter of asking.

Thank you for the advice. I actually have four roosters and a small breeding flock. I don't want to reintroduce him with my breeding birds, nor do I think another rooster will mix well. So he needs a new flock if possible! He is very quiet so far - but still young.

Whoo-hoo! I got a new egg! Obviously a new layer because it was found in the run. It is unlike any we have had before.
I have 2 BR, a BLRW, a lavender orpington, a BO, and SS that are of laying age. I think it is either our BLRW or lavender orpington. The orpington started squatting for me the other day and has been hanging around when she used to avoid me. And the BLRW has gotten really red recently.
It's nice to get an egg! Our BA and EE have been laying sporadically. Hope more start soon!

Yay for new eggs!

So, Percheronchick graciously brought Margie's super cool incubator over AND she brought me some of her hatching eggs!

Thanks again Margie. I'll get this back to you the end of February.

I will read the instructions and get this thing fired up and set the eggs tomorrow.
Stay tuned!
