RMFF - Rocky Mountain Feather Fanciers. Their annual fall show is October 23 - 25th at Adams Country Fairgrounds. If anyone needs info, please PM me. I can forward the emails I got with the show catalog and entry forms. The entry deadline is October 12th. I've never shown before, but it's a great place to see alot of great birds. They usually have 300+ entries. I took a (non-poultry) friend one year, and we drove home with her holding a beautiful Faverolle roo on her lap - you should have seen the look on her face!

From the size of my cockerels this fall, October sounds just about perfect. Mine get out all the time and roam around the property, even though their run is over 1100 sq foot for just the nine of them! Grass is always greener right?

And yes, What When and Where is the RMFF? I'd be very interseted in going if just to meet some fellow chicken folks.

I just edited my last post to put some pics up of some of my mille fleurs. Please share your Lynne pullets when they come!

If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to have an entry form for the Adams County show. I have a rooster or two I'd love to take. And it would be great to meet BYCers there!

Rosemary, I'm subscribed to the MF Cochin thread, so I just saw your pics - WOW! Lynne was going to ship my pullets this coming Tuesday, but is holding off for another week due to the heat out there. I think I'm going to hold off getting a roo for them till the spring - let their feathers develop a little more so I can see what I'm dealing with. But they both look like they have some nice chevrons.
I'm having trouble attaching the emails I got from RMFF to the PM messages. If you can PM your email address, I'll forward his emails directly to you.

Yeah, I am not even going to try to evaluate my little cockerels' patterning till another few months. I'm glad to have 4 to choose from, but I am so happy with the type and patterning that I am getting with Lynne's lines and it is not going to be easy to decide...

Where did your buff columbians come from? As I'm sure you know, Lynne's mille fleurs have Tom Roebuck's bc's behind them.

I pm'd my address, thank you so much for sending the show info.

Rosemary

My 2 Columbian hens are white. I got them from Steve (rooster58) on Eggbid 3 years ago. Their names are Lucy and Ethel - what characters they are! The show info is on it's way.

Is there anyone close to Arvada that may have a couple of eggs I can buy to put under my broody Silkie? They don't have to be pure, they can be mutts. She's sitting on 3 but they're not fertile. (rooster hasn't done his job) and I feel bad for her since she such a devoted mama.

Thanks,
Cara

Wish my birds were laying Cara, would give you some eggs...I hope to have fertile silkie eggs soon but current roo is making half hearted attempts at the hens. My black mottled cochin roo (named him Skirts) is too young, not yet crowing.
Rosemary, if you are looking for a home to one of the MFC roos, I have a place for him.
