No seriously Mrs E, you'll love them.

I miss my ducks so much

Sonja doesn't Aimee have East Indies? I know she has some runner babies available.

I emailed her about the black east indies, and she hasn't had any hatch yet. I'm going to wait for those. I'm not a huge fan of runners, so I'm passing on those. I can't go too overboard. I'm busting at the seems as it is! Ideal has the buff ducks. I have an order shipping tomorrow, but for some reason I can't get through on their phone lines. Hopefully, they'll get my emails.

Melissa, the quietest duck is a muscovy, but they fly.

My ducks aren't TOO bad, but one of my Welsh Harlequins is loud. My runner is pretty quiet.

Call ducks are THE LOUDEST THINGS EVER. The next loudest...it's a tie between Pekins and Buffs. My buff was a great duck but she was too loud for my small lot and close neighbors.

I might have some Welsh Harlequins and Welsh Harlequin/Runner mixes in a few weeks. Not sure though. My runner went broody around Easter and I am not sure who's eggs she stole

I will be selling ducklings (I am at maximum duck capacity) but I have no idea how many eggs Chrissy has and how many are viable. We were really surprised when she went broody. Runners are NOT supposed to go broody! That duck is insane

If I don't get any out of this clutch I am going to see if I can get one of the Welsh Harlequin girls to set. I figure if I leave a dozen or so eggs in a pile one of them will get all maternal.

I should know next week about Chrissy's little pile of eggs. Ed said she stole 2 more from the other girls while I was out of town so she is locked in the night pen now. Who knows what else she is hiding in that igloo.

Fierce looking isn't she?

changing the topic, a couple of stray chickens were in my backyard when i came home at lunch today. a neighbor put them in with our birds because he thought they are ours. they're not, and i can't find their home. longshot i know, but is anyone on this board that resides in fort collins missing a couple of birds? if so, then shoot me a PM and let me know.
