It's from the book series "Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy". It is a very funny sci-fi series. I strongly recommend it

Hang on there! I have 3 Speckled Sussex hens, 1 year old, that would match up really well with this roo!
They are laying very well and were hand-raised, just friendly, nice big girls.

I travel the 1/70 corridor a lot and maybe can deliver....

VERY IMPORTANT!! I know this isn't probably the best way to go about this, but I am somewhat almost desperate

. Does anyone in my area have a spare brooder lamp they are not using this year, or rather for the next month or so? I have on on the babies, but I would feel better about the not yet teens if they had one as well since they are outside. I would really appreciate it, and would be willing to pay, say, $1.50 a day in rent for every day I have it?

What I meant to say is that I am going to be letting my 3 Speckled Sussex hens go, as my coop runneth ova'...
I think ghillie's little roo would go nicely with them if someone wants to start a Sussex venture!
Sorry I didn't explain well...
They are gorgeous and robust girls.
(They have been free-ranging and I'd love them to be able to continue that.)

Matthew, you may be able to use heat lamps that are found at feed stores or hardware stores. The youngsters you purchased from me (except the 2 little Barnevelders) have been outside without extra heat. Enjoy your birds!

Oh, I know that, I just didn't want to have to buy one until I had to, since money is *kinda* tight. But if yours have been outside, then all of ours will be ok, and so far noone seems to be dying from exposure, so apparantly I'm not killing them

Thanks for that info as well btw! And the birds are all doing well, which is a plus!
