I live just north of falcon in the black forest/ Peyton area. We technically aren't allowed to have any poultry, but We have ducks and chickens, as does just about everyone in the neighborhood, so we doubt they are going to kick everyone out. Just this last sunday, We had to evacuate our birds beacause fo a grass fire that was 1/2 a mile away from our house

but luckl;y they stoped it before it jumped the road

Here is the brooder I completed last night.

Here are some of my chicks; they are between 2.5 to 3.5 weeks old.

This is my little BCM. He appears to be a runt as he is quite a bit smaller than his/her siblings.

) ... I'm NEVER buying hatchery chicks again! I'm mortified. Was I just naive to think the chicks are treated well before being shipped?
