Colorado

Hacienda is really tasty, but expensive. It was founded by former Texans.

The tortillas are to die for.

That red & green chile stuff doesn't do it for me. Like most former Texans & Californians, the best Mexican food in Colorado is at my house.

Hello! We are in NoCo, about an hour north of Denver. We are new to BYC and new to chickens! We have 5 kids, 1 dog, 1 kitten, 2 gerbils and 3 chickens!

In relation to the current conversation......we were born and raised in CA. The Army moved us to Texas. After that we moved ourselves to CO. We've lived here 7 years now and LOVE it!

Yes, the best is at my house or friends. I am more picky about mexican food now than ever! Haven't tried it in brighton but a couple times at Taco Loco. And its edible, but not the best, so I only went back b/c it was a friend's dad's favorite..

Hacienda is o.k. but even their hottest green was barely warm, the cheese sauce was tasty.
I much prefer small family owned restaurants, each has one or two items I really like and will pick the restaurant based on which dish I am in the mood for!

Yes, I am picky about food, don't wanna pay for what I could make better at home..
Beware the green chile! It has a habit of growing on you, soon you'll be as addicted as the rest of us

Checking in from Brighton. 1 BA, 1 Americauna, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 1 Patridge rock. Just got our first eggs from the BA and Americauna at 4 months old!

Also wanted to ask if anyone makes their own vinegar around my area, looking for a vinegar mother.

You need more chickens for such a big family! Chicken math degrees are very attainable around here!

Oh, yes! I have done that math myself! I am planning to work my way up to 15 but right now our temporary coop will only fit 3 (otherwise I would have 5 already! LOL). We are going to build a better/bigger one before winter and I plan to add 3 a year so we have a steady stream of eggs. IF I can pace myself. I am not good at pacing myself!

15 would be too much for just our family, but I really want to share!

good luck pacing yourself.. I got my first 3 last year and recently was up to 63!

There is NO WAY DH would let me have that many chickens! I live in a neighborhood. If I had land, though.......
