I'm trying to figure out what colors I can expect from my OEGB pen. I have 8 young girls in with my roo that have started laying and I'm thinking about hatching out some of the eggs. This is what I have:

1 Blue breasted red cockerel (possibly blue wheaton, I wasn't informed exactly what his color was, but he looks like the roo on this page: http://sugarvalleyfarms.net/bantams.shtml)

2
BBR crele

2 fawn

4 BBR

This is what I know I can expect to see:
blue and bbr's

blue and bbr crele
Which sex can I expect to be the barred chicks (male or female?)

Which recessive color will be more dominant, the fawn or the blue?

I also have a fawn sport chick (pullet) that I want to put in later on. What colors can I expect from her?

Well it looks like you know more than I do!!

I was going to say pretty colors...

PC DAHLING!!! Yes, I still have chickens. It's just been a busy summer, with my son graduating and all. Maybe thing will slow down by the end of the summer, and I can send you those silkie eggs. The girls keep wanting to sit, then sumthin' happens. No silkie babies for me this year. :-(

I am pretty sure the crele pullets would have sexlinked barring so in that case it would be crele males and non crele females. I am thinking that wheaton would be recesive to BBR. Also is fawn like dun or a true breeding color? If it is dun then dun would be dominant over blue. If the fawn sport is khaki then you would get some khaki and duns.

As far as I know, fawn and dun are the same thing. Instead of the bird having black, it becomes brownish. The sport (splash) version has a nearly white bird with gold lacing and dappling for the female, pale brown to white in the male. The original sport I had is the mother and grandmother to the two fawn girls I have now. Here's some photos I found of the colors...I'll have to take some of my own birds to give a better photo.

This guy is fawn: http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/Games/GameBantams/BambiCrow.JPEG

This
one is a fawn sport:

I also have a fawn chick that's a cockerel. I was thinking I might experiment later on and try fawn crele. I haven't seen or heard of that color, but I'm sure it probably exists somewhere. Blue creles are pretty as it is, but fawn is probably gorgeous.

Did I mention that I LOVE my little OEGB's??

Sorry, I am dutch. Is sport another word for splash, I mean is a splash a blue sport? I know the story of the english "noble" men filandering ...

Or is "sport" another word for "white", so could be used for dominant white also.
