I am using an incubator you cannot add water to by opening it up and yesterday I must have missed the auto turner slot and stuck it in an egg because I opened it to this this morning. It's a polish egg currently on day 15.
There is still movement in the egg. It's a pretty big hole as you can see, I've put sticky tape over the hole and put it in a separate incubator.
Is there anything I could do for it or is it better to put the chick out of its misery, if so how should I do it? Would putting it in the freezer be ok?
Am feeling pretty crappy right now and like an absolute monster.

Hopefully someone will respond shortly. Looks like there's bleeding so some vessels probably got damaged. You could try ... IF you're able to remove the tape without damaging the rest of the shell, try removing & put a piece of paper towel that fits over the crack, put coconut oil on the inner side & outside to seal the crack. That's what I would do but not saying it's the right thing to do.
I did hatch some found geese eggs in it, improvised alot. That's where I learned of "exploding" eggs
Manu & Kai hatched, they were so much fun
