Colourful and Unusual Chicken Eggs!

These are from our 5 laying ones. Left is White Leghorn, then Welsummer, Silver Spangled Hamburg, Golden Laced Wyandotte and the rightmost is Black Sumatran.

Good range from light to dark!

I can’t believe how well my Olive Eggers doing! She is laying so often and she’s only just started. Each egg varies from one another.
We even got one with dark olive spots on it. Not speckles... spots!

Not sure why but none of those pictures are coming through and very disappointed because they sound exciting.

EDIT: The pictures suddenly came through and, yes, they are indeed exciting! I want olive eggs now!

Here is a picture of my 3 hens. The Barnevelder is 19 weeks and the SLW is 10 weeks.

you have a buff orpington, a white Sussex and I believe @6sablehens addressed the barnie. Beautiful birds!

Here's my EE's egg next to my Spangled Hamburg's egg. Bunny, the EE, is the only one laying colored eggs right now. Although, my BJG lays a nice darker brown speckled egg. I need to get a pic of our current eggs. I can't wait for my Araucana and her EE sister (aruacana/ameraucana) to start laying their blue eggs.

Pretty girls you have! I believe the chicken in the last picture looks like it’s featherings more pencilled wyandotte than barnevelder.

I love fairy eggs! The only time I’ve gotten a dark egg was in the form of a fairy egg. They’re pretty cool!

I agree. I love BOs. I have 2. I also have 1 SLW and think I need another they're so pretty. But seeing your Sussex makes me want a couple of those too!! You have some Very pretty birds.

A fairy egg is usually one of the first couple laid, and they tend to be on the tiny side. If you see the pic above that where the egg is next to a quarter... teeny. LOL they're so cute though.
