Columbian Rock Thread!!!!

these are the chicks i have.. not sure if they are the same breed but the one definitaly does look like it, looks a bit older than your pic tho. does it look like your easter egger?

Also mine turned out to be a rooster and i dont know what hens look like. Post your pics in the 'What Breed is This" section and people more knowledgeable than me can probably tell you.

i have tryed posting it there... no help, but im pretty sure the black one is a rooster also. i got then from a school that had them to show but they couldnt keep them so i took them. thats why i dont know the breed.

I'm trying to (1) figure out if I really have Columbian Rocks, and (2) figure out how many Roos I have? If any experienced Rock owners want to take a quick look at the pics I posted in another thread, I'd appreciate any thoughts on either point. Thanks!

The coloring on yours looks different from mine.

I don't have any chick pictures but they are similar to post #7.

Mine are fast growing - you can see a real difference at 5 weeks for most of them.

I couldnt see all the birds very well in the pics but i think you have all Delawares. Post a pic on this thread of the one you think is a columbian rock

Those are not Delawares. Trust me. Been raising those for years now. A Delaware out of heritage stock is my main flock rooster.

Cole102, you have an Easter Egger in the chick pic, but you may know that.

what breed is that one on the left? i have a chick that looks just like that but i dont know the breed.

Not necessarily an Easter Egger. Other chicks look like that, including Speckled Sussex.
