Columbian wyandottes

Speaking of hatches...I sure have had a good year. Maybe a few to many males but that is OK.


I am sure that others are having the heat wave. We are heading towards 15 days in a row of 100 plus. We never get that kind of heat this soon. One day it was 110...unfortunately I lost a couple of my older birds who could not handle the heat. Egg production went from 60-70 a day to todays count of 32. (ouch on egg sales)

the CW are very similar , but i love my SLW the best...lol..

& we have a young male hatched june 1 ,15 he is very sweet & is learning how to crow .lol... & sounds like a squeaky old door....lol..

Do your CW and SLW lay the same?

I was so unimpressed with the laying of my BLR that I sold them.
 
my SLW lay all the time winter & summer, even when my NHR & BR slow down, and the SLW are the most sweet birds.and lay great size eggs, we love them , but my CW are young still, so about eggs i have no idea yet ...? i was hoping they would be the same as well, but time will tell..! i suppose.
