Does anyone have a picture of a CW egg? I'm wondering if ours has started laying but I'm not sure what hers will look like compared to our RIR... (Our Welsummer and Cuckoo Marans are easily distinguishable...)

I don't have a photo.... But a very light brown. Also, thier eggs tend to be very egg shaped.

My CW are giants at 4 months old they are the same size or a bit bigger then my BR & NHR hens that are over a year old , i cant believe my eyes, i really love them , here they are at bed time, i plan to get more, im so sorry i didnt buy more of them originally , they are great very sweet & fun birds, and soooo very beautiful...!! its hard not to brag about them..!

3 of my CW pullets all the girls are heading to their dust bath area.
below our CW cockerel 4 months old , he is very sweet so far so good : )

In comparison to other Wyandottes are they typically much larger? I have a slw and my cw, and my cw is nearly twice the size of my slw, both are16 weeks.

Some Wyandotte bantams are not very consistent in size...

I would guess that that is what you are seeing.

mine to, my SLW are 16 months old & much smaller then my CW & my CW are 4 months old ...lol....

no eggs yet form our CW, but we are waiting , our last batch of SLW were starting at 18 weeks , & my CW at near that age now so we are waiting...! & will post the first egg...!!
