Comb looking terrible!

What do you think is going on here? I haven’t noticed other birds pecking on her but maybe they do? She’s otherwise totally normal. Laying, eating, drinking and everything

Is there something in the pen she could catch it on? Smear some bacitracin (neosprin, not the pain relieving one) on that puppy.

You might want to look really carefully for a wire sticking out or a sharp edge of some type, especially near the food and water bowls or where your chickens' heads are when they perch.

I am not that experienced with chickens and don't know if it's a disease or not, but that is the first thing that came to mind. I have what looks like the same type of wire in my coop, and had a chicken cut her comb on a wire that was poking out, but it wasn't that severe at all.

Seems to be healing. I’ve been putting the microbial and ointment on 2-3 times a day.

Looks like injury, could be from getting it hung on wire as suggest, a squabble with another hen or if you have a rooster mating damage.
Doesn't look too bad.
