Come hatch along with us!!! Last sets of the year! 10-18 to 11-7

I should be getting shipped eggs - White Ameraucana (Shipped...What was I thinking?!?!) the week of the 29th. And possibly some local silkie eggs and SLW - trying to coordinate to see if available. Just for the record: you are all bad influences on me

I'm joining in! So my Rhode Island Red is inbucating 4 of her OWN eggs. Two that I know of are developing ( i hope). This is my first time but now I know what i'm doing ( i think) so its day 11 today and they are due to hatch on the 30th. I think she bred with a buff brama bantam rooster, so i'm expiermenting. I just moved her today to a spot that makes her feel more secure.
Heres a pic

By the way what does going into lockdown mean? Is it like not really going to sleep for the duration of the hatching process?
Sorry i'm new to this!

Lockdown is when you get to the last three days of incubation... you stop turning the eggs, and you bump up the humidity.... but you dont have to worry about that, since you have a broody hen doing it all.

Hey it's my hatching buddy lol, what are you hoping to hatch this round and how's the last bunch doing
I had 3 that made it they are doing great, but seriously suspect all are boys

I am going to try for the NN and Houdans again, if I can get the eggs, still not sure if I can or not. I was planning on picking them up on the way home from a short vacation, so we'll see. If I do get those eggs to incubate I will likely throw a few of my own in. My only roo old enough to breed right now is Oreo, a black/white/red EE, I would set the best color of the EE females (egg wise) and a couple of NN hens just to see b/c none of the boys I want to hatch from will be old enough until spring or maybe summer. I have been going back and forth on whether I am hatching any of mine even if I don't get the other eggs, still not sure.

How are yours doing? What are you hatching?

Oh glad you had some make it, yeah most mine were Roos I had to cull 5,so did that black skin Nn make it
I'm hatching some silkies and hopefully some either pumpkin hulsey or butcher spangled gamefowl depending what I can get and their quality

Day 12! Since they are little brown eggs they are hard to see through, buuuuut since its day 12 I saw a little embryo dancing around in one of them also veins. Can't show a pic right now because my cellphone is the only one thing I can use and it has a crappy camera. So impatient!
