Chickens are smarter then we think. My chickens lay on this little side thing in there coop (they keep eating there eggs so we got a special nesting box) and it’s up high and they lay eggs there and kick them off and eat them!!! How smart are chickens really?

Chickens are very smart. I taught mine to come when I call them.

I agree. I don't think they get enough credit.


BUT egg eating is a serious thing, what do you feed your birds? It can be a sign of lack of protein. Or just an extremely bad habit.

We feed them special feed for TSC and it’s a bad habit. We make sure to give them lots of protein. We just blocked off the separate part today. Now they are forced to lay in the special box
They may be smart but not smart enough
